Sting and Stewart Copeland, pre-megastardom.It was my first concert in Denver: The Police & The Specials at the Rainbow Music Hall, November 5, 1979. The Police played material from their soon-to-be-released Zenyatta Mondatta--still my favorite album of theirs.
The next year, I seem to recall, The Police canceled a planned show at the Rainbow; shortly afterwards, I read that they were scheduled to play Madison Square Garden. I knew they'd never be coming back to a small venue like the Rainbow Music Hall, ever again.
