Blowing cerebral notes with his horn, Ron Miles sounds out--pensively and, at times, explosively.
I've heard the man play in various combos for over twenty years now, and I look forward to discovering how he sounds twenty years hence. In addition to groups he's led under his own name, I've caught Miles with Fred Hess' Boulder Creative Music Ensemble, Bill Frisell, Ginger Baker, and notable, Denver acts of the past like the Bruce Odland Big Band and Legacy of Sorrow.
A class act.
