David Amram tickling the ivories in tribute to Jack Kerouac. Part of a celebration in honor of the author, who Amram collaborated with at jazz poetry readings and on the score of the film "Pull My Daisy." Denver Public Library. October 14, 2007.
Calling Amram a man of multi-talents almost sells him short: he's an accomplished symphonic composer, conductor, jazz musician, writer, and player of the piano, French horn, and numerous other instruments; not only that, but he knows more about boxing and farming than I could ever hope to.
To paraphrase a song of his about Kerouac: This one's for you, David.
